Getting Started for Customers
Accept your carrier's invite, review demurrage records, and pay them.
What you'll learn
Quick Overview
Accept Your Carrier's Invite
Customers connect to a carrier by accepting the carrier's invite. Your carrier enters your company name and email in Demurly, and you get an email with an invite link (it expires after 7 days).
If you're new to Demurly: 1. Open the invite link 2. Enter your company name, work email and a password 3. Click Create Account & Accept Invite
If you already have an account: open the link while signed in and click Accept Connection.
Customer accounts are free. You'll see each connected carrier under Carriers.
Finish Setup
The first time you sign in, a short setup asks for:
• Company Profile: your company address (optional) • Rate Settings: a maximum hourly rate (optional; leave blank for no limit)
If a carrier's rate is above your maximum, the record shows a rate alert so you can check it before approving. You can also set a maximum rate per carrier from Carriers.
Review Records
When a carrier sends you a record, it appears under Records as Awaiting Customer.
Each record shows: • Terminal, driver, load and BOL numbers • Start and end time • The driver's photos and GPS map • A timeline of everything that happened to the record • How the amount was calculated
Click Approve to accept the amount, or Reject to tell the carrier what's wrong (the time, the rate, both, or the whole record) with a written reason.
Pay Approved Records
Approved records show Approved and a Pay button. On the payment page choose:
• Pay with Card: pay through Stripe. A processing fee covering Stripe's 2.9% + $0.30 (about $3.30 on $100) is added and shown before you pay. • Pay Outside Demurly: if you pay by check, ACH or wire through your AP system, enter a payment reference. The record shows Payment Pending until the carrier confirms they received it.
Your payment history is under Payments, where you can filter and export to CSV.
