Driver App Guide
Learn how to use the Demurly mobile app to track wait times at facilities.
Download the App
The Demurly driver app is available for iOS and Android. Download from your device's app store.
Getting Started
1. Sign In with Your Phone Number
After your carrier invites you to Demurly, you'll receive an SMS with a link to download the app. Sign in using the phone number your carrier registered.
Tip
2. Enable Location Permissions
For accurate tracking, grant the app "Always" or "While Using" location permission. This is required for the app to detect when you arrive at and leave facilities.
Important
3. Allow Notifications
Enable push notifications to receive reminders to check in/out and updates on your demurrage records.
Key Features
One-Tap Check-In
When you arrive at a facility, simply tap 'Check In' to start tracking your wait time. The app uses GPS to verify your location.
Automatic Tracking
Once checked in, the app automatically tracks your time at the facility. You don't need to keep the app open - it runs in the background.
Photo Evidence
Capture timestamped photos of the facility, your truck's position, or any relevant documentation. Photos are automatically attached to your record.
Offline Mode
No signal? No problem. The app continues tracking offline and syncs your data when connectivity is restored.
Using the App
1Checking In at a Facility
- When you arrive at the facility, open the Demurly app
- Tap the large "Check In" button on the home screen
- Confirm the facility name matches where you are
- Optionally add your load/BOL number for reference
- Take a photo of the facility entrance or your position in line (optional but recommended)
2While You Wait
The app tracks your time automatically. You can:

- Add photos or notes at any time

Troubleshooting
Location not accurate?
Make sure location permissions are set to "Always" and that your phone has a clear view of the sky. Being inside a metal building can affect GPS accuracy.
App not syncing?
Check your internet connection. The app stores data offline and will sync automatically when you have signal. Try pulling down to refresh on the home screen.
Can't find a facility?
If the facility isn't recognized, you can manually enter the address. Let your carrier know so they can add it to the system.
