Managing Drivers

Add drivers to your organization, manage their access, and monitor their activity.

Adding Drivers

Add a Single Driver

  1. 1Navigate to Settings → Drivers in your dashboard
  2. 2Click the Add Driver button
  3. 3Enter the driver's name and phone number
  4. 4Click Send Invite

The driver will receive an SMS with instructions to download the app and sign in.

Bulk Import Drivers

Have many drivers to add? Use our CSV import feature:

  1. 1. Download our CSV template from the Drivers page
  2. 2. Fill in driver names and phone numbers
  3. 3. Upload the completed CSV file
  4. 4. Review and confirm the import

CSV Format

The CSV should have columns for "name" and "phone". Phone numbers should include country code (e.g., +1 for US).

Driver Status

Each driver has a status indicating their account state:

Invited

Invitation sent but driver hasn't signed up yet

Active

Driver has signed up and can track demurrage

Inactive

Driver account has been deactivated

Managing Access

Resend Invitation

If a driver hasn't received or lost their invitation:

  1. 1. Find the driver in your driver list
  2. 2. Click the menu icon (⋯) next to their name
  3. 3. Select "Resend Invite"

Edit Driver Details

Update a driver's name or phone number by clicking on their row in the driver list and selecting "Edit". Note that changing the phone number will require them to sign in again with the new number.

Deactivate a Driver

When a driver leaves your company, deactivate their account:

  1. 1. Find the driver in your list
  2. 2. Click the menu icon and select "Deactivate"
  3. 3. Confirm the deactivation

Note

Deactivating a driver removes their access but preserves their historical records. You can reactivate them later if needed.

Monitoring Driver Activity

From the Drivers page, you can see each driver's activity:

  • Last Active - When they last used the app
  • Records This Month - Number of demurrage records submitted
  • Total Hours Tracked - Cumulative wait time recorded

Click on any driver to see their detailed activity history and all associated records.

Best Practices

  • Add drivers before they need to use the app so they have time to set up
  • Use consistent naming conventions (e.g., "First Last" or "Last, First")
  • Deactivate drivers promptly when they leave to maintain security
  • Regularly review driver activity to ensure the app is being used consistently
